About the author

Professor Khalid A. Bin Abdulrahman is a renowned Professor of Family Medicine and Medical Education at the College of Medicine, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, with more than thirty years of experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, particularly in research training, essential learning skills, and evidence-based medical education.

He served as Founding Dean of the College of Medicine and Vice President of Planning, Development and Quality at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. He graduated from King Abdulaziz University (MBBS) and earned a Master of Health Sciences in Medical Education from the University of Toronto.

He has authored and co-authored over 140 peer-reviewed articles, was a leading editor and writer for the Routledge International Handbook of Medical Education (2015), and in 2025 published the global textbook Essential Skills of Learning and Teaching to Students in Healthcare with Springer Nature.
